Innovation and cyber security were always at the forefront of Adips. The company was established in 2000 to deliver services for Bundesdruckerei, a German manufacturer of banknotes, passports and identity cards. Back then, Adips was processing unpublished patent applications for the German Patent and Trademark Office.
Dictionaries
Later, Adips acquired DICT, an English-Polish dictionary that was one of the most popular educational websites in Poland (www.dict.pl). Poland’s main mobile telecommunications company Polkomtel distributed mobile version of DICT. Thanks to its custom-built in-memory database, DICT offered the fastest online dictionary and processed over 1 billion translations.
Domain Names
Having an intense interest in developing digital innovations for users of the internet, Adips has acquired a portfolio of premium domain names like samochod.pl (“car”), telewizja.pl (“television”), porada.pl (“advice”) and many others. These investments enable Adips to build new ventures aimed at the Polish market using brands that are straightforward and easy to remember. Adips continues to invest in domain names to this day.
Venture Building
Today, Adips focuses on building and scaling digital ventures like Rublon.
